Speaker Profile :
Dr. Yang Bin, assistant professor at Washington State University, has worked in the University of British Columbia, Dartmouth College, University of California and other institutions engaged in biomass conversion. Dr. Yang's research focus is on lignocellulose pretreatment and saccharification technology. He has conducted many in-depth research related to pretreatment strategy and proposed the reaction mechanism. He has published three books and more than 50 peer reviewed papers. He gave more than 100 times oral presentation in international conference, and hold a number of U.S. patents. Dr. Yang currently serves as PI for more than 10 NSF or DOE research projects/grants(Total funding >3,000,000 US$).Dr. Yang has served as scientific consultant for Mascoma Corp. and Pure Vision Corp. He was on the advisory board for DOE and USDA funding. In addition, he also serves as a referee for a couple of well-known SCI-indexed journals in a very broad areas, such as Biofuels, Bioproducts & Biorefinery, Recent Patents on Food, Nutrition & Agriculture and Biofuels etc.
