Project M.Sc Thesis
Population Genetics of Olive fly Bacttrocera oleaeRossi and the Symbiont Cadidatus Erwinia dacicola: Differences among Pakistan, Italy and Spain
Short Research projects
· Identification of the presence or absence of fungi in bark beetles, Ips accumilatus, individuals by using the molecular technique (DNA extraction, PCR, Eelectrophoretic gel).
· Cultivation of olive fly’s gut bacteria on different media and Gram staining for morphological characterization.
· Study tree physiological response to Thaumetopoea pityocampacolonization at different elevations in the region of Venosta at Bolzano providence in Italy.
· Manipulate one egg batch of Thaumetopoea pityocampato identifying the number of parasitoids and larvae hatched eggs.
· Usage of the data obtained at different altitudes of the samples to analyze the correlation between fertility and environment.
