Welcome to the 21st International Symposium on Wood, Fiber and Pulping Chemistry (ISWFPC)

The ISWFPC is considered the most important event worldwide in the areas of biomass, fiber and pulping chemistry, wood components, bio-economy and lignocellulosic materials.

The 21st ISWFPC will be organized by the Department of Forest Biomaterials from North Carolina State University. This Symposium will be held from March 7 2022 to March 10 2022 at Talley Student Union on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, USA.

North Carolina State University (NC State) is a leading public university in Raleigh, the capital of the state of North Carolina. Raleigh is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country and is part of Research Triangle Park (RTP), the largest research park in the United States.

Symposium will honor Dr. Hou-min Chang’s contributions to wood chemistry and the paper industry

Abstract submissions for the ISWFPC on March 7-12, 2022 has been extended to December 17, 2021.

The symposium will also have a pre-session organized by APPTI (appti.org) on Monday, followed by a three-day main symposium.   We accept three types of abstract submission: (a) in-person presentation, (b) in-person poster presentation, and (c) virtual poster presentation.  The scientific committee will review the abstracts and provide decisions by mid-January.
